We're here!! Nov. 19th, 2014
#1 GIRL Born at 10:05 p.m. Mama was in labor a long time. All day. This little chocolate girl struggled at first. She was sputtering liquid from her nose... She's okay now though. She had a really wavy coat at birth. It's this gorgeous golden brown.
#2 BOY Born at 11:55 p.m. He came out feet first and has been runnin' on um' ever since. BIG strong black boy. He's got a really short shiny coat. Think he'll have Dad's coat but Mom's color.
#3 BOY Born at 2:55 a.m. He took too long. I spent 20 minutes, until baby #4 came, trying to wake him up. He was also black and looked exactly like his mama. Precious little man is at "Rainbow's Bridge".
#4 BOY Born at 3:15 a.m. This little man had a rough start too. He didn't try to eat until he was almost three hours old. He was very thin and weak. Apparently his nutrients had been cut off for a couple days prior to delivery. I couldn't get him to latch on to his mother. He could find the spot but wouldn't open his mouth and he'd give up very easily. But, he's all better now, I'm very happy to report. I still have to help him but he's a new little man today. Praise the Lord!
Oh, forgot, he's a chocolate too. :)
So, one little chocolate girl. One little chocolate boy and a big black boy. AVAILABLE!
Since their father's name is "Jack", we're nicknaming these guys, "Ace", "King" and "Queen".
#1 Girl = "Queen"
#2 Black Boy = "Ace"
#4 Boy = "King"

These photos don't do them justice. Their coats are gorgeous.
King is much smaller than Ace right now but he's not a runt. I'm bettin' he'll be all caught up in a couple weeks.

Stay tuned for a bunch more. I'll try to get new pictures up at least twice a week so you can watch them grow!

King has almost caught up to his big brother. I make sure he gets to the chow line first so he's usually the first to pass out after lunch.
I think King will be the curliest and the least shedding of the three. More poodle hair than fur. Queeny is a close second. Ace's face and head are getting wavy though.
We'll try to improve the picture quality as they get older.
Queen
< She's the smartest and the most advanced for sure. Ace used to be the complainer. Queeny took over.

Ace is the big black guy. At first I thought his head was more Lab but now he seems kinda' 1/2 & 1/2. He's strong and knows what he wants. He may be a challenge. :)
Sister Queen is definitely going to be a handful. If sumthin's not right, she'll tell ya. As you can see from the picture on the left and the one up above... Pretty sure Poodles don't howl like that!?!?! hehehe
King, he's PERFECT. Nice quiet boy. Nothing seems to bother him. I think he's exactly like his mama only brown. He's still got the waviest coat. So, to sum it up, Queeny is a brown curly Lab. King is a brown Poodle and Ace is a black Labradoodle. Course they're all Labradoodles and will be registered as such. :) Be interesting to see if my assumptions are correct. They're only 2 1/2 weeks old. I'm going to try soggy "Purina Puppy Chow" this afternoon since their mother is being a tad selfish. They got their first de-worming yesterday. I'll keep that up, every two weeks, until they leave.

Well, that was fun. Second try this afternoon. As you can see, Ace has no problems. Aside from having to eat with at least two feet in the pan atta' time. King only wants his mama. Which he'll get more of cuz Ace will be full of puppy slop. Queen could take it or leave it. She ate for a little bit. She mostly just walked around complaining.
This little man is going to live with Emily and her family in Woodbury, MN. Deposit 12/18/2014

New pictures of Daddy Jack. Out ice fishin' with his dad again. Funny story... My boyfriend, Pete, met Jack and his dad, Scott, ice fishing. At some point an empty potato chip bag blew under Pete's car. Jack spent a good long time running around the car and stooping to get the potato chip bag. Finally Scott retrieved the bag and everything was good. A couple weeks later, Pete ran into Scott and Jack again out on the ice. First thing, Jack runs over to Pete's car and starts looking under it for the potato chips!?!?! He actually remembered Pete's car??? We're not sure if that's really smart or really stupid. After all, the potato chip bag was empty. :)

Not much has changed personality wise.
Queen is very independent and loves to play. She's got TOTAL confidence! She'll make a great hunting dog and companion. Ace is turning into a big mush boy. Loves to cuddle and sleep in my lap. He's always first to the chow and he's the biggest again.
King might have a new name. They're not positive yet but they're thinkin' "Harvey". He looks like a Harvey. We'll keep calling him King until we're sure. I don't actually call them by their nicknames. We just use those here so we don't have to call them puppy #1, #2... When they leave, if they're anything like my Akita babies, they'll think their names are, "Now you be nice!". :)
Dec. 18, 2014 - 4 weeks old yesterday. Well, Queen and Ace were born on the 19th and, technically, King wasn't born until the 20th.
As you can see, everybody is growing and eating and starting to be naughty. They got their second de-worming yesterday so I know all tummies are clear.
I weighed them yesterday. Queen and Ace both weighed in atta' hefty 4 1/2 pounds. King, more like his mama, was 3 1/2. Ace is usually first to get to the chow and the last to leave. Queeny is still a spunky little thing. She eats a little and walks around a little. The girl has a mission. Just not sure what it is. :)

Their mother mostly stands to feed them now. Natures way of muscle building I guess. They all do it. Chelsea may be starting a little soon...
I had to help King for the first few days but now he's tall enough and strong enough to hang on. Also, I'm feeding them puppy slop twice a day now. In a week or so I'll start feeding them DRY "Purina Puppy Chow". Puppies should be fed THREE times a day but I'll "free feed" them so I know everybody gets all they want. "Free feed" means there is always a fresh supply of food to munch whenever they want it.
Soon they'll be climbing out of the whelping box. Then I think I'm going to move them into the actual puppy room. I'll let them play, outside of their whelping box, for a few days. This way they get the experience of being in different places.
Emily, you can right click on any of these pictures and save them on your computer. :)
^ Still eating! ^
Dec. 23, 2014 - Happy 35th Birthday to my human child!!! Doodles are almost 5 weeks old.

Grandpa Pete is on vacation for a couple weeks.
He'll get a lot of puppy time and they can torture him for a change.
You'll see, in the picture below, he already has a battle scar! Toe nails are just as dangerous as sharp little teeth!

They're eating dry puppy food and drinking water now.
I still give them warm, soggy, puppy slop once a day. The rest of the time they have dry food available.
We let them out of the whelping box and left the bedroom door open. Miss sassy pants. and her big brother Ace, didn't want anything to do with the scary new world. King, on the other hand, walked right out the door and left. :) Little sassy pants does, however, love to torment the kitty. Kitty has bopped her on the head a few times now so she's not quite so bold. The boys ignore the kitty.
You can see that King is the most curly. Queen's coat is more course. She'll probably just have feathers and wavy points. Ace is somewhere in between.

After play time, and our new found freedom, we all decided it wasn't necessary to climb back into the whelping box to crash. Either they've grow out of that or they were just too beat to bother. It's hard work being a MONSTER!!!

I de-wormed them for the third time today. We also extended our play area into the real puppy room. So, they have 1/2 of my bedroom, the hallway and the puppy room to play in. I try to give them new toys and new treats all the time. I won't shut them in the bedroom except when I leave. I don't leave much.

They're actually curlier than they look in the photos. Ace is still the biggest and he has big feet too. So, he'll probably be 70-75 lbs. when he's done growin'. Queen is still very active. She is going to need a new family who like the outdoors. She's going to NEED an activity, or ten. Don't let that innocent face fool you. She's still on a mission.
Grandpa Pete isn't afraid to get mauled. He's a brave man! He didn't really need that ear anyway. :)
Ace and Queeny are still available.
